Chaddock Hall, a historic grade II listed house in Worsley near Walkden and Astley on the outskirts of Northwest Manchester and Lancashire, is being thoughtfully reimagined into two stunning new residences. Following significant fire damage in 2014, the property is currently being reconstructed by Redwaters Construction Ltd and is due to be complete very soon.
The history of Chaddock Hall dates back to the 13th century. Over the centuries it has witnessed numerous events, including sieges during the 14th century. It was even used as a girls’ school in the 1800s. Following a catastrophic fire, the building has been completely rebuilt using historic materials and methods.
CB3 Design have worked with Redwaters to preserve the unique character of the Grade II Listed building, honouring its historical significance while creating two new homes designed for modern living.
This project exemplifies how sensitive design and craftsmanship can breathe new life into a historic property.
