The project is of special interest as
it one of the first to test the recent relaxation of the Warrington Borough
Council “Moratorium” on new dwellings under housing supply policy. In addition
there are numerous Tree Preservation Orders on the site (including in direct
line of the new access which required very particular design solutions to
obtain support for a new driveway over the root protection area) and potential
tandem development policy which necessitated extensive pre-application
discussions with the LPA. Careful design and the clients’ willingness to compromise
with the LPA and neighbour comments have resulted in a successful application
and a bespoke design solution.
