This unique secluded
plot with views out across the North Cheshire Greenbelt has been the site of a
cottage for around a century. The existing building has been heavily modified
with extensions and outbuildings over many decades, giving a fair size of accommodation
but with undesirable aesthetics and to outdated construction & energy performance
standards.

The design centres the dwelling around a large open plan
kitchen / dining / family space which maximises the views over the open
countryside. The client opted for a timber frame construction, some of which is
exposed externally with brick and render finishes used alongside.
