Single storey brick extension with glazed gable to replace existing conservatory.

The project involved designing a single storey extension to the rear of a period property to provide a spacious kitchen, linking to a new family area and dining room. The use of a glazed gable, vaulted ceiling and rooflights provides a light and spacious room, capturing daylight throughout the day.

The bi-folding doors accessing the rear garden, allow the space to be enjoyed all year round.

The approach to the exterior was to use traditional materials and details. Used in conjunction with the glazed gable it allows the extension to reflect the character of the original dwelling, but also provide a subtle merger with modern living.
